Flash Fiction Windows
Emporium Creative Hub has teamed up with Bendigo Writers Festival to showcase the talent of local writers during the course of the 2023 festival.
A drawcard for lovers of literature from both near and far, the Bendigo Writers Festival has been inspiring attendees since 2011. That inspiration continues through showcasing the work of local writers.
Local writers were invited to submit a piece of Flash Fiction (up to 250 words) that responded to the theme of this year’s Bendigo Writers Festival “Such is Life”, to be displayed in the windows of 10 local businesses in the lead up to and during the Bendigo Writers Festival. In total, 31 submissions were received, and the evaluation panel had a hard job selecting the final 10 for display in business windows. Successful writers were paid a small honorarium for their work.
All 31 submissions can be read here.
